Basic Bariatric Gelatin

A simple, low-calorie bariatric gelatin recipe that promotes satiety and aids digestion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup water (or flavored liquid)
  • Sweetener (optional, e.g., stevia)
  • Flavorings (optional, e.g., vanilla extract, fruit juice)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients: Measure out 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of unflavored gelatin, and your choice of sweetener and flavorings.
  2. Heat water: In a saucepan, gently heat the water over low-medium heat until just warm but not boiling, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add gelatin: Gradually sprinkle the gelatin into the warm water, stirring continuously to avoid clumps (1-2 minutes).
  4. Sweeten and flavor: Once the gelatin is fully dissolved, add in any sweetener or flavorings, stirring well to combine.
  5. Cool and set: Pour the mixture into a mold or container and allow it to cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes before refrigerating.
  6. Refrigerate: Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2-4 hours, or until the gelatin is set and firm.
  7. Serve: Once set, cut into cubes or enjoy directly from the mold.

Notes
