Sauce with Gelatin

A savory sauce that combines flavorful ingredients with gelatin, offering a unique texture suitable for weight loss diets.

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or coriander)
  • Vinegar or citrus juice (lemon juice)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or onion powder

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, bring broth to a simmer over medium heat (about 5 minutes).
  3. Stir in fresh herbs and garlic powder; simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and whisk in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved (1-2 minutes).
  5. Adjust consistency by adding more broth or water if too thick.
  6. Let cool to room temperature and transfer to a jar; refrigerate for at least 1 hour to thicken.
  7. Drizzle over your favorite dishes and enjoy!

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute gelatin with agar-agar.
