Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup cold water
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons fresh lemon or lime juice (optional)
  • Low-calorie sweetener or 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • A few drops of natural fruit extract or splash of juice

  2. Dissolve the gelatin in warm water by heating 1/2 cup of water to about 120 to 130 degrees F and stirring until fully dissolved.
  3. Add flavor by stirring in 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and sweetener; adjust to taste.
  4. Combine the gelatin mixture with 1/2 to 3/4 cup of cold water and stir until uniform.
  5. Chill the mixture briefly for about 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes slightly gelled but still pourable.
