Lemon Gelatin Tonic

A refreshing drink combining lemon and gelatin to support weight loss and hydration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened gelatin
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sweetener (optional)
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather your unsweetened gelatin, fresh lemons for juice, a sweetener if desired, and water.
  2. Mix the Gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over ¼ cup of cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it blooms.
  3. Heat Water: In a saucepan, heat 2 cups of water until it’s just about to boil, then remove from heat.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Stir the bloomed gelatin into the warm water until completely dissolved.
  5. Add Lemon Juice: Squeeze the juice of 2 lemons into the mixture.
  6. Sweeten: If using, add sweetener to taste and stir thoroughly.
  7. Chill: Pour the mixture into molds or a container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.

Notes

For a lower-calorie version, you can use stevia instead of honey. Ensure the water isn’t too hot to preserve the gelatin’s structure.
