Strawberry Gelatin Pie

A refreshing, low-calorie dessert made from fresh strawberries and gelatin, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth while being mindful of health.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, and sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package gelatin (or Jell-O mix, sugar-free for fewer calories)
  • Optional: Sugar or low-calorie sweetener to taste
  • Optional: Pie crust (graham cracker, cookie crust, or low-carb alternative)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Wash, hull, and slice the fresh strawberries, or mash some for a smoother filling.
  2. Dissolve the Gelatin: In a saucepan, add water and sprinkle the gelatin on top. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom, then heat over low until fully dissolved (3-5 minutes).
  3. Mix in Sweetener: If using sugar, stir it into the warm gelatin until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  4. Combine Strawberries and Gelatin: Remove from heat and fold in the sliced strawberries until well coated.
  5. Transfer to Crust: Pour the mixture into a prepared crust, or refrigerate in a pie dish or bowl if not using a crust.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for 3-4 hours or until firm and set.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Slice and serve chilled for a delightful treat.

Notes

Can be adapted with other fruits like blueberries or peaches. Make it a low-calorie version using sugar-free gelatin.
